Sign up for the fall CSA for seven weeks of fresh produce deliveries 

VeggiesYour last chance to participate in the 2018 workplace community supported agriculture (CSA) program is by joining the fall share from the Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA). When you become a member, you purchase a “share” of vegetables in advance, and every week Sept. 26-Nov. 7 you can pick up your weekly share of produce at the Public Service Center in downtown. If you haven’t taken advantage of the CSA discount provided by the Wellness Committee,* you can also receive 25 percent off the cost.

Typical produce

Fall produce includes root vegetables such as carrots, beets, potatoes, parsnips, onions and greens.

CSA season

Seven weeks: Sept. 26-Nov. 7

Half-share size

Each box contains five-eight items. This will feed a one-two person household or a family that supplements with purchases from the farmers market.

Each box contains eight-12 items. This will feed a three-six person household or two people who cook most nights of the week.

The Wellness Committee offers City employees who participate in the CSA program a subsidy. Employees can receive 25 percent off the cost of one share per year. If you haven’t already used the discount on a spring or summer share, you are eligible.
