Enhancing and Retaining Community Prosecution

Project Description

The Minneapolis City Attorny's Office (MCAO) seeks funding to enhance our Community Attorney Program, through the retention of 2 paralegal positions at risk due to budget cuts and the addition of a 1.0 investigator position. The investigators and paralegals currently provide needed support for prosecutors and allow the MCAO to aggressively prosecute offenders. Investigators and paralegals provide needed follow-up on cases. Paralegals have also been instrumental in increasing communication with the community and neighborhood groups.
